In order to solve the mystery of Buffalo Bill, a psychopath who skins his victims after death, young FBI Cadette Clarice Starling must concede her inner psyche to another psychopath Hannibal Lecter who serves his life in a dungeon under the FBI. She has to gain insights into the mind of the notorious psychopath psychiatrist Hannibal the Cannibal to save the recent victim, a daughter of a Senator. Her mentor FBI Agent Jack Crawford gave her the assignment in a belief that with her beauty, Clarice can extract information about Bufallo Bill through the cunning mind of Lecter... with a price.

This is indeed a great film. It deserved winning the Big 5 Academy Awards-- Best Actor (Anthony Hopkins), Best Actress (Jodie Foster), Best Director, Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Adapted from a novel of the same name by Thomas Harris, its success led to the adaptation of all the novels in the series of Hannibal's savagery. Nothing more has a film delivered both horror and FBI-action merge in perfect harmony at the same time.
