10 Young Australian Actors Rising in Hollywood (2014)

So I watched some movies and noticed new faces. Not just new, but really good-looking faces. Reading IMDb info of the movies, I realized there are lots of Aussie actors who just came in to Hollywood, especially that actor from the film, Signal. Whether it's because of the acting or sheer looks alone, Australian actors in Hollywood are just swoon-worthy. If you got the hots for Aussies, here's 10 rising young Hollywood actors imported from Australia:

Brenton Thwaites (25yo)

He's that protagonist that I talked about of the movie, The Signal that showed this year. The Signal is a sci-fi film that is somewhat similar to that of Dark City (1998), some human-alien encounter. He is also Prince Phillip, the prince that charmed Aurora in the film Maleficent also of this year. He also played the main protagonist of the film, The Giver, a film adaptation of a bestselling YA (young adult) book of the same name.

Callan McAuliffe (19yo)

Callan McAuliffe landed his first role in a Hollywood film in the movie, Flipped (2010) as the male protagonist Bryce Loski. He claimed he auditioned for the role during his family vacation that summer in the USA. And he hasn't left since, JK. He starred alongside Alex Pettyfer in I am Number Four (2011) and played the role of teen Jay Gatsby of The Great Gatsby which was starred by Leonardo DiCaprio on 2013.

Josh Helman (28yo)

Josh Helman played the role of Jeb in Jack Reacher (2012). I honestly didn't notice him there but he's famous for the role of Maj. Bill Stryker of X-men: Days of Future Past. You surely would notice him there for if you watch the film, he's one of those characters you'd hate instantly.

James Mackay (30yo)

Little is known of this actor in Hollywood but he played as Nurse Ben in the independent film, Skin Deep that was shown in USA last month.

Xavier Samuel (30yo)

I first saw Xavier Samuel in the Aussie film, The Loved Ones (2009). Sick film and I love it! And then I saw him again in the film, Bait (2012), a gory shark movie. But he entered Hollywood by playing the role of Riley in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, another movie of his that loves blood.

Alex Russell (26yo)

Alex Russell gained Hollywood fame through the film, Chronicle (2012) of found-footage style, where he played the role of Matt Garetty, cousin to the main protagonist, where they and another friend gained supernatural power and wasted it among themselves flying around like the Saiyans of Dragon Ball. He also appeared in Bait alongside Xavier Samuel. He also appeared at the ending of Stephanie Meyer's film, The Host and revived the role of Billy Nolan of the famous Carrie reboot on 2013.

Kodi Smit-McPhee (18yo)

Kodi entered Hollywood through the film, The Road (2009) as the boy with Viggo Mortensen as his father. He hasn't left ever since. JK again? Apparently not. His family moved from Australia to Los Angeles. He's also the male protagonist of the Vampire film, Let Me In (2010), the Hollywood adaptation of famous Swedish film, Let the Right One In (2008), opposite Chloë Grace Moretz. I like the original film better. Kodi Smit-McPhee was also Chloë's first on-screen kiss. He played the role of Alexander in the film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (this year) where he was reunited with director Matt Reeves of Let Me In. He looks child-like but he's 6'2" in height.

Rhys Wakefield (26yo)

I hated this actor for his portrayal as the sick Polite Leader in the experimental film, The Purge (2013). I realized that he was a decent person for his role as Keith Butterfield in Endless Love (2014).

Dean Geyer (28yo)

Dean Geyer is known for his role as Brody Weston in the hit tv series, Glee (2012-2013). With his black belt in Karate, he landed the role of Mike Stokes in the film, Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown (2011).

James Frecheville (23yo)

James Frecheville is perhaps known for his role as Tom in the film, Adore (2013) where he played alongside Xavier Samuel as sons of two childhood friends and neighbors. These childhood friends are portrayed by none other than Naomi Watts and Robin Wright who fell in love with each other's son. So scandalously hawt! Anyway, James Frecheville played the role of Fitz in The Drop (2014).
